Beans-Bight Residence

    Beans-Bight Residence

    Description:
A craftsman’s dream with a design influenced by traditional elements of Japanese and Scandinavian architecture, this home celebrates the use of wood in structure and finish. Liberal use of Alaska yellow cedar, highly prized for its durability and warmth of color was painstakingly sourced by the owners from salvaged timber. The home takes full advantage of natural light with an open design and breathtaking views to the inland sea. Simplicity of form, intentionally modest rustic materials that naturally age and weather and a geo-thermal heating system realized the owner’s dream of a sustainable, energy efficient and multi-generational home.
